Vintage-Inspired Jewelry: Pretty and Practical Styles for Your Life Today

by Gloria on December 27, 2012

So you love the look of vintage styles? Join the club! There’s a vintage revival sweeping the fashion world right now and I couldn’t be happier about it.

But if you’re like me, sometimes the authentic vintage items are a little bit fragile for the hectic world we rush around in today. Luckily, Ross-Simons has created a vintage-style jewelry collection.

These items have the look and style of Estate pieces, crafted with the durability of today’s materials.

Imagine being able to step back in time, style-wise, and dress to impress with jewelry modeled from your favorite era – without having to worry about having your heavy leather shoulder bag snagging your treasured pin off your lapel. How great would that be?

Well, I’m happy to report the day is here. For instance, do you like Art Deco? This pin would be perfect.

Doesn’t it look amazing? It’s crafted from CZs and sterling silver with a revolver safety. Like I said, perfect. I mean, perfectly pretty and perfectly practical for your busy life today.

Or, if you love the look of delicate vintage-style chandelier earrings, try this dazzling pair with aquamarines and diamonds.

Or how about this fabulous dinner-style ring with CZs.

Gorgeous – and affordable! Like I said, pretty and practical.

Here’s another wonderful design. This beautiful bracelet was inspired by the Art Deco Era in the 1920s and 1930s.

Vintage-Style Bracelets

Some of the most beautiful jewelry was created in the Art Nouveau era at the turn of the century. Rare and unique, these designs were innovative and exciting, often incorporating elements of the natural world in their styling. This marcasite locket pendant necklace is a classic example of vintage-inspired design.

Whatever your favorite era, I’m sure you’ll find a piece of vintage-inspired jewelry to love. And every time you leave the house, you’ll feel polished and put-together, with your own unique flair.

Leave me a comment and tell me about your favorite pretty and practical piece of vintage-styled jewelry!

Vintage styles of jewelry are commonly preferred by royal, classic and older people. They have an old pattern but can easily beat the latest patterns of designs. That’s why they are called as vintage ornaments.

Paula, In Art Deco jewelry, geometric designs and combinations of diamonds and colored stones – mainly sapphires – exploded in popularity and production. While Art Nouveau styles (1985-1915) centered on the opulence of the natural world – for instance, the celebration of dragonflies and calla lilies — Art Deco era jewelry (1920-1930) is typified by its clean, sleek designs which are almost contemporary in tone and reflect the big city, the modern skyline and the skyscrapers emerging in abundance in the booming Metropolis.

These pieces are exquisite, and I love the concept of “vintage inspired.” I’ve always loved the Art Deco period………how is the jewelry of this period different from the Art Nouveau?

The vintage-style earrings are gorgeous. I like the chandelier style.
